Anyone have a Buster Bros machine for a world record?
« on: June 07, 2013, 07:44:08 AM »
With Twin Galaxies are coming to Game Warp, I would love to set the world record for Capcom Buster Bros but it is a very rare machine.  If anyone has one that they could bring to the show or sell to me I would definitely be interested in that too.  The current record is about 2.4 Million and  I should be able to beat that.

I guess I could do it on a MAME machine but the original would be better.

Terry.

Yes, it was a conversion kit only.  Never released as a full machine and very hard to find.

I will make an offer on that jamma board and see what happens.  Hopefully it has not drained the battery yet.

I did win it. It will be here sometime next week.

Thanks for help finding a cabinet. If the board works I will buy the marquee, CPO and maybe even the sideart to go with it and make my own real machine.

I don't care about the cabinet style so much. The original machine had one button and four-way joysticks but I'm so used to playing it on 8-ways on a generic cabinet (with MAME) that that works just as well.  I prefer ball top sticks.

Here's a picture of one that looks perfect

I need a help to test the board on a jamma cabinet if that is possible

I have a Jamma cab you can test it in. I love this game, I play it on my turbo duo (I'm not that great though). Also wiling to run the game in one of my cabs at game warp if Englishman doesn't have one.

Thanks Evan, sounds great, as sounds like he prefers the ball tops off similar to a candy and its a great game

I received the board and hacked together a ghetto jamma setup on my bench to test.  Good news the board works great after I sorted out the sound issue the ebay seller mentioned.  I'm a little surprised the battery is still good.

Anyway, I would still like to go for the record if I can use someone Jamma cabinet at the show.  I'm pretty flexible on cabinet type but as i said before, ball tops like a candy cab are my favorite.

Do you know how i go about getting on the schedule for the record?

I'm looking for a marquee too since the NOS one is gone from ebay and the only remaining marquee is obviously a repro with incorrect colors.

Thanks,
Terry.
