Kiss tickets
« on: October 30, 2018, 10:41:33 AM »
I looked at Kiss tickets today and they have it so it automatically adds on a $1500 meet and greet to each ticket until they are gone

so lets see.. two tickets and two "VIP" meet and greets that would be around $3500 and up for decent seats?

I think gene somewhat overestimates how much people give a shit., what is this the 3rd or 4th Kiss farewell tour?

I saw them at the casino in Hollywood last go around and I dont think it was even sold out at a small place. I got a ticket the day before the show from what i remember.

Is it all the original members of Kiss these days?

I dunno.. I think i'm not old enough to appreciate Kiss. I've listened to their stuff over the years but other than a few songs I haven't really liked anything they've done.

Nope.. hasnt been original guys for years although they have been teasing that maybe on this tour they will come out (probably not every show)

Unless you grew up in the 70s you probably arent a Kiss fan..

Its not really about the music its about the show, watching shit blow up and how goofy it all is.  Its fun.

I would rather see them live then the eagles who were so fucking boring I wanted to hang myself at a 3 hour show.

How is Paul Stanley's voice holding up?  I had heard that he was having issues, which wouldn't be surprising after all these years.

As far as the last tour BS bands do, I saw The Who on their "final tour" in 1982.  I think they are still touring.

Yeah can't say I really care all that much for the Eagles either.

I like Joe Walsh's solo stuff and that's about the extent of it.

I think somebody actually sued Cher because they paid a lot of money to go to her 'Farewell Tour' then she did another one a few years later.

If you pay a lot of money to see Cher I think you get what you deserve though.

For what its worth, if anything, I saw the Eagles at the Shoreline Amp. just south of San Fran on the 'Hell Freezes over" tour. First tour of their comeback. Prior to the stop at the Shoreline they did a couple of nights at the Hollywood Bowl and then the 3 nights at the Shoreline. Point is that this was almost their very first public outings they did after 16 years off or whatever it was. I thought that concert was GREAT> ABSOLUTELY FREAKING GREAT. 4 hours plus. Had to show "proof' you were over 21 , i was over twice that age so I showed the little punk my DRAFT CARD, you know where it says you have to have it with you always or its a 10,000 dollar or 10 years in jail or both, The little bastard didn't know what it was! anyway it was early on their first tour and nobody hated each other like they do now.
As for KISS, I've never known anyone that I've been around who owned a record tape or cd of their stuff.
Sorry if you find this boring, I just had to say I STILL remember that concert fondly.
But HEY ive heard "The Struts"and that group from the upper midwest that reminds everyone of Led Zeppelin on car commercials. My how times have changed.

I saw them perform in Orlando in the late 80s, and it was a fun show but nothing magical. If you like watching 65 year old men play and sing, then I guess knock yourself out :)
Looking for working or complete but non working examples of: Dragon's Lair, Joust, Galaga/Ms Pac 20th, Frogger, NBA Jam, Ghostbusters pro pin

Past: Ms. Pac, Pac Cabaret, Tempest, Tron, NeoGeo 4 slot big red, Crazy Climber, Stargate Multiwilliams, MK3, Super Pac, VPinball widebody, SI Deluxe

Im not saying the eagles were bad by any stretch they were great.

They were however.... really, really f*cking boring for 3 hours.

I know there is no lack of people that are stunned and amazed that bands like that can sound "like the record" live but those are songs I have heard 1000 times on the radio so why do i want to hear them done just like the record?

They dont really "perform" so whats the point? maybe they needed some fire or explosions or something to wake me up.  :P
