i played the asteroids example at our walmart.
quick thoughts:
-too small, covered a bunch here...
-artwork has zero protection.
-collision engine is horrendous.
-buttons didn't work correctly (what was marked on the game, different buttons were needed to achieve), spinner already broken...can write that off as store example, but still.
-the sound switch, on high, was poor for a home environment. could barely hear anything in a quiet store.
i only played asteroids and major havoc, 30 seconds on each game. both poor compared to my experiences with the real machines. your mileage may vary.
i can only imagine the crazy amount of classic arcade toys out this year, will double the original's prices...good for owners, bad for enthusiasts.
