:P

for a 10 minute drive, i'd check it out. i think it features a 2 ball multiball. a weird themeless mad max bike theme, the quick return center ramp like jokerz has, and a looping ramp. couple kickout holes.

but in the world of Williams system 11, system 11A, system 11B, and system 11C, road kings ranks near bottom, in my opinion. no matter who you are. just apples to apples.

whirlwind. high speed. earthshaker. funhouse. taxi. banzai run. transporter. bad cats....it's just a murderer's row of system 11s.

and i like bally game show, which is an 11C. and people hate game show. :)

i also like shaq. i'm the only villager that publically admits to that. ;D

Please do update!

Chris I f'in loved that list of Williams, Bally, and Midway pins by year!  Really loved it.

But I too have to ask with Tecumseh - how is Transporter which I own and thought Bally, a Midway?

Bally owned Midway (it was a subsidiary) and merged the pinball division into  Midway in the early 80s.  They called the resulting entity Bally/Midway Manufacturing.  In 1988, Bally sold the Bally/Midway division to Williams as part of Bally's decision to exit the pinball industry and focus on casinos and sot machines.  AS part of that deal. Williams got the right to use the Bally name in its production of pinball machines.  Sometimes they used Bally, sometimes they used Williams.  IPDB (K7's source) labels by manufacturer entity, and Midway is the code used for Bally machines built during the Bally/Midway era, whereas games built be Bally prior to that are labeled as Bally.

FWIW,
Ron

I had a Road Kings for quite a while and really liked it. It has an almost exact layout as Mousin' Around and the rules are identical. Fun simple game. I have a translight, that I could sell if anybody needs one.

FIGHT THE ROAD KINGS!
The first time Ive been over that close to Mexico Beach since the hurricane. Looks like a nuclear bomb went off over there, so much destruction. This RK isnt in the greatest of shape but it does play super fast, and the guy threw in an Intellevision with about twenty games, so it was a worthwhile trip.

OK so I got this game all cleaned up and shopped out and I gotta say, if you dont like this game you might be a pinball Philistine. From the ultrasweet music and drumbeats, motorcycle noises and Robotronny sound effects, to the fast fun shots, Steve Richie voice work,  and comic book style art on the playfield this game gets it done for me. Just as much fun, I think, as the other early system 11s.
And the “basking in the afterglow“ high score entering initials music is just the cherry on top.
Glad I decided to grab this, I think its a solid, fun simple game.

Just wondering if you can switch this feature off, perhaps in a tournament mode set up?

i never tried. it does have tournament buttons, so probably does. :)

agree on simple. and full disclosure...i automatically dislike any game where ramps block a chunk of the playfield. that's just me. think Hook, Creature, Popeye...

i am from philistine, i guess. :)  it's not that i "don't like" road kings...but staying power compared to everything out around that time period, meh...and i ride bikes...
and i like flow. and steve ritchie's pretty damm good. and cheesy music made rollergames a hit.

and in the same thought process, price = value. other system 11s can be 6 grand. :o someone offers me a $250 raven, i'm going to buy a $250 raven.

if you have 12+ pins, it might stay. but the cynic in me thinks, "i'm sure it will be up for sale next month." ;)
