Jax Expo was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone involved had a great time!
Here are a few pics
Boot Hill! Haven't played one of these since the very early 80s. The Chuck-e-Cheese in Brandon had one. Remembered liking this one a lot as a kid because the people turned to tombstones when they got shot. Can't imagine there are too many surviving today.
Firefox! Another rare one.. at least rare to see it unconverted. I remember these being around in '83 during the high mark of the early 80s arcade boom. Never could get very far without running out of fuel.. 30+ years later plays about the same
Still very cool. Last time I saw one was a cock-pit at an auction in the early 00s. The video portion was completely dead so it just played the laserdisc. Rob kept saying 'working all the way' because well, it was playing a video and that was good enough. Can't imagine what a cockpit is worth now.
Moon Lander don't recall this one back in the day. Odd splice of Lunar Lander and Space Invaders of all things.. still pretty damn fun!
Speaking of something you don't see every day..
The Frogs was beautiful. Haven't seen this game since one showed up at auction about 10-15 years ago and went cheap. Might be the same one?
Bally Astrocade one of the few consoles I haven't really played. Nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Joysticks are terrible though.. very cramp inducing. Still awesome to see this.
I also enjoyed the toy show, that was a nice group to partner up with.
Yes there were also Pins. I was just in video mode with all the rare games. I'm still undecided on Munsters..
Finally..
Lasso The surprise hit of the show for me. Random early 80s game I don't remember but is actually a lot of fun! Who brought this in?
Anyway great show, looking forward to next year!
