Why should I pay for propaganda when there are presidential candidates running around telling me I shouldn't pay for health care or college tuition?  ???

I assume, then, that you agree that we should increase the taxes on goods and services, the taxes that everybody pays on a daily basis, to be more in line with those other countries?  ???

Unfortunately the numbers say yes.

The U.S. is #8 in the world in debt to GDP ratio, and budgets are annually in the red, so we either don't take in enough tax revenue as it is, or we spend too much (or both).

Health care expenses in the U.S. are out of proportion to the rest of the world, so regardless of how it's paid for, it is a problem that needs to be addressed because it's not resolving itself by free market economics.

Great, now can you please take this message of basic mathematics back to the others in your tribe who think that they can pay for every giveaway program just by taxing the rich?  8)

^^^ - I agree, though I think it’s important to point out we don’t have a free market for healthcare.

Someone has to pay taxes.  If not the rich, and not corporations, who is left to do it?

Everybody who consumes, such as the VAT in the UK at 20% for most everything but non-prepared food and children's clothing.

You understand that's what the graph I posted above is showing, right?  ???

Yea, but this the U.S... we do things different here.  Are you actually telling us for the first time, that something is done better in a foreign country?   :P

Define "better". As I see it, Democrats are lying to voters by promising new giveaway programs that will be paid for by taxing the rich, instead of being paid for by new taxes that are more realistically funded by a broad tax base, meaning everybody.

According to some of the Democratic presidential candidates, you're willing to pay for other people's college tuition, as well... How generous of you!  ;D

I can’t pay for anyones education.  I’m too strapped paying another 16B to farmers.  Hopefully Trump won’t make any more biggest, baddest, with the best names, trade deals that help us all out.

I’ve been pretty silent here watching the insanity.  But I still anxiously await the “I only live to watch liberals cry” answer the tax and healthcare cost question, and how much better it is now compared to last year.
