Used Mazda 3
« on: June 05, 2019, 10:47:44 PM »
I'm pretty well convinced I'm gonna buy my daughter a 2016 or newer Mazda 3.  I want Android Auto and I know that's an easy, cheap OEM upgrade with the Mazdas.  What are you guys seeing at the auctions?  That new 2019 Mazda 3 is sweet (reminds me of an 80's Sirocco only better) and I know Mazda is offering extra loyalty rebates for trade-ins so the used market should be pretty flush soon.  The best I've seen is ~$11K for a 2017 Touring with ~73K miles.  I've also seen a 25K mile 2017 Touring for ~$14K.  both with no accidents.

Thanks!

for accidents, take the vin number to a mazda dealer. they'll give you better history than carfax/autcheck/others.

there are about 100 mazda 3s at 1 of the dealer auction sites, all far away though....i only buy from west palm beach, because i can see the car in person.

pictures never show the whole deal for any online auction.

...and basically anything 50% off eBay/painside value

Thank you!  What percentage of value do these usually go for if the damage is nothing more than scratches and dents?  Is that a site accessible to anyone?

copart. com. it's available to peruse by anyone, but need a dealer license/access and pre-payment to purchase most of the cars from there.

once the car has sold, there's no history of it anywhere, except for the buyer.

i've seen cars go for over-market even there. auctions seem to trump the normal world for market value and then some.
