They should have just gone with: We're freaking Wal-Mart, what did you expect? You're coming here for "classy" merchandise?

sites that farm out (amazon/walmart) to other sellers are annoying anyways. you can't even find newegg store crap on newegg's website. :P

attitudes and season traffic and snow birds all make me want to do a line of snow.

Newegg went from great to garbage after they were bought by a Chinese company. It definitely went downhill with the 3rd party sellers bullshit, but their policies went to hell too. DOA item? They want you to pay to send it back to them & get a replacement these days. How the hell is that my fault? Damaged in shipping? Charge the shipper. Just DOA? Charge the manufacturer.

Plus they're competing with Amazon, which doesn't make you pay return shipping and will also have UPS pick it up from your doorstep.

The only thing Newegg has going for them is a good search system for PC parts (Amazon is astonishingly bad at this). Shop on Newegg, buy elsewhere. I don't think I've seen anything on Newegg in the past 5 years that wasn't the same price or less on Amazon.

I agree with all of the above.

I spent a ton of money with Newegg when they were good and that was the dividing line, other resellers.

Amazon has to better rein in their 3rd party sellers as well.  It's common for them to sell a product and if it gets good reviews, they'll swap the product under the same item id with a completely different one which makes the reviews completely fraudulent if not misleading.
