There are cheap ones out there that have plastic bladders in them and don't age the liquor at all, be careful not to buy those if you want your bourbon to age.

But yeah, these are great for bourbon since it's getting difficult to find good whisky for a decent price. I can't promise you can turn Maker's into Pappy but for sure you can turn something young into something much older-tasting in a fraction of the time it would normally take. With these tiny barrels you're aging the equivalent of something like 2-5 years in a month.
