Upside, R-Rated Gore!
Downside, No techno?

We'll see. The original Mortal Kombat remains one of the select few video game movies that's actually good.. so it will have to compete with that, on the other hand.. probably no way it's as bad as Mortal Kombat: Annihilation

CGI blood instead of practical though..

Hopefully Robin Shou at least gets a cameo.
