"The" Holygrail - Aztarac
« on: July 12, 2016, 01:13:14 PM »
As most of you know by now... Yep i picked up a Aztarac. And you'll find out while reading this... Yes its not a regular Aztarac.

So i saw an ad on the internet for an arcade as always. I went and picked it up. For the last 24 hours ... my phone hasnt stopped ringing. From offers to congratulating me on the find.

So to give you guys some of the story... I went to pick up the arcade with my friend Danny. We get to the location and there was 1 dumb ass already there. He was low balling the offer and had the idea to grab the cabinet and turn it into a 60-1. I told the guy a few words and told him this isnt his day with this machine. I also told him to leave this machine to the pro's. (I almost slapped the guy a cross the street when he mentioned 60-1)

I get the machine to the storage...
And i had a bag of old spare keys and told Danny i remembered having a Circus Charlie with a bad lock. I threw away the lock and kept the keys... Thank god i did.
The same keys opened the front coin door. Inside was literally Pandora's box. It contained a goodies bag still sealed from the factory. A sales invoice. A delivery receipt. And a New Equipment Condition Report form. A small wrench. And ONE QUARTER. I looked at the coin mech meter.... It reads... "000001". When i looked at the name of the person it was given / sold to it read ... "Tim Stryker" the guy who designed the game.  Talk about a "Holyshit" moment. I wanted to share this find with everyone... The story is awesome. And thought this might brighten up your day.

See below photo's.
Thanks Neil

Damn, figures that would pop up on the day I decided to not look for anything :p ;D.  Sweet score Neil, congrats!

Oh, I had that New Game header at one time but I left it at Lorddavon's place with his Gyruss.  Sure wish I had it back to put on my Gyruss :P

Neil, congrats man! Happy to hear you got your Grail, and that it was such a cool surprise. I love knowing the history of my machines, and that one is an amazing story. Like Owl, I have never heard of this game, but it looks like a blast. Cheers!

Wow that's amazing.

How did this guy end up with this game? I guess Tim sold it on at some point?
