Living in Florida, we're always suppose to watch the weather for future activity or anything unusual, and this seems to have a little of both. Just something to pay attention to and hope he's just being alert, that this in no way gets bigger and heads towards Florida or any of the USA.

Interesting. That would be a major problem anywhere.
Tampa is really kind of overdue for a hit, and when it does finally happen it'll likely be worse than New Orleans. It won't have to be a superstorm either, just a moderate hurricane that curves upwards into the bay - that will push all that water into the city, and South Tampa has absolutely terrible drainage as it is - the sewers flood with every thunderstorm. Kind of amazing that hasn't been fixed with all the rich people who live there.
I could go for a hurricane day off though, but the kind where it doesn't actually hit in the end.

He sure got the hyper storm wrong. As usual nobody can predict the weather. The stuff that was supposed to merge into 91L outpaced what he thought was going to happen. Why didn't he say that was an option earlier instead of causing mass hysteria?
