Title: home a/c question
Post by: k7 on September 05, 2017, 01:10:11 PM
what happens if you use a standard/general 30amp fuse, not a time delay 30amp fuse as recommended for a home a/c?

Time delay= slow blow, takes a heavy current surge a few seconds without blowing.

Compressor start up draw will pop a fast blow where a slow blow would take the strain.

actually, and it was 100% my mistake. I was running fast blow fuses for a decade. and they were fine.  :o
during other maintenance, I realized my boo-boo.
