Title: Pinball Transport: Orlando to MN/WI/IA, Anyone?
Post by: Jason_Jehosaphat on June 06, 2019, 07:22:50 PM
If you or someone you know is planning a trip north anytime soon and would like to earn a fair sum to bring a pinball machine with you for delivery to Minneapolis or thereabouts, please contact me.  I've already spoken to Donny but he has no trips northward planned 'til Expo in October.  Any leads/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm planning a trip to Michigan in July from Jacksonville and will be going through north-west Indiana.  If you can meet me there we might be able to work something out, but west of that isn't in the plan so I can't help you otherwise unless you're paying stupid money to justify the side trip.

Thanks, Dug and K7, for noticing my post.

Dug, you're an angel to tell me about your trip to MI.  That's far from me but it's a heck of a lot nearer than Orlando!

The game belongs to collector Eric in Orlando.  Perhaps he's known here.

Dug,

Hi again.

I do have a collector friend outside Lansing who is game to rendezvous with you in MI to make the exchange.  He would (three months later) haul it to Expo and I would meet him there.  Yeah, it all sounds a bit ambitious, but such are the things we do to buy HUO pinballs.  I sent you two emails through this BBS, but in case you don't see them, please shoot me a text.

Thanks.

I feel like I need an animated avatar to post here.  I've never had such a thing.  Not unlike pinball backglasses, breasts seem to be the order of the day.  It took me a bit of sleuthing to learn the source for the breasts-bursting-from-top-while-sneezing avatar here.  That one came from an obscure/forgettable movie from the seventies called "Carry On, Girls!" and the starlet is Margaret Nolan.  I'd never heard of her.  She was Dink in Goldfinger.  She wore a bikini and was painted in gold, head-to-toe, for the credits.  I guess she was the Raquel Welch of her time.  I would call her the ultimate pin-up girl from a time when pin-up girls were en vogue.  These days pin-up girls are anathema.

Thank you and nice work on identifying Margaret Nolan. I like to imagine it’s Sophia Loren.

Now...  how good are you at popping balloons???   8)

Thanks, Art.

You're my pin sage.

I'm glad to join this forum.  The market is uniquely robust here for some reason.  You'll notice I'm trying to arrange to ship a game up here and the logistics are daunting.  Will I succeed?  Can't say, but I'm game to try.

I can't stand texting so I'll send a PM or maybe give you a call.  I'm booked up solid for the next week and won't have much if any time to do anything but will be very free after that.
