This was announced a week or so back but don't think anyone posted about it.
I know we've beat these things into the ground but the Star Wars one at least has the custom controls going for it. It's the first one I might consider.

"Yahoo, you're all clear kid!"

Must be displayed and played next to Brian’s Jumbo at Free Play Florida.
High (and low) score tournaments?

$500 price tag is what they are saying. I'm mostly interested in whether the yoke will be decent quality or not.

yoke? lol. 2 hamsters and a string, with a squirrel and a tambourine doing audio.
$75.00 at walmart, 1st quarter of 2021. i'll grab one. :)

The standard comes with a plastic yoke. It will be interesting to see how they come out.
The yokes have been reproduced by a guy on KLOV and they actually sell and ship them instead of stealing everyone's money and they are really nice. He made a deal with 1up and some will come with his yoke. All the 1up machines can be upgraded with the real yoke.
Like I said the new yokes are nice and are only $349 now.

Is that USB or something? $349 seems like a lot when you can probably find a Stun Runner for less.
I'm kinda town, I do have the yoke from a Stun Runner and the Yoke->USB adapter RAM Controls made before the dude went rogue. I've been meaning to make a Star Wars MAME type setup for it.. but its been years and I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I saw the grand unveiling video of this thing and it looks like they did it right, even though it is a 1up. I hate to say it but i might get on the bandwagon and snatch up one of these. only irksome thing is that they're already saying it's gonna be released in "limited quantities" so who knows how easily they'll be to obtain, since you'll have the star wars collectors going after them in addition to the arcade guys. (to be fair i'm only considering this since i've heard from folks who were on the floor that the yoke isn't bad and the game looked decent, i'd kill for an original star wars but don't think i'll ever have the opportunity to find one that would fit in my budget).

How “great†can this thing be?...two of those games are vectors and one is a raster.
Vector graphics emulated on a cheap LCD monitor doesn’t sound like a recipe for greatness to me.
-
the previous 1up home arcade releases don't hold up well as demos inside your average walmart. i would expect the same here.
but they say limited, and bam...people grab them all and stick them on eBay. metallica limited edition, anyone?
<---this guy. 75 bucks. screwing up 1up's american dream.

There's been countless cheap gadgets trying to cash in on retro games. Not one has been anything but crap or fodder for junky monkeys, why would this nonsense be any different?
