Title: Pinball Repair
Post by: joe.isuzu on August 06, 2025, 10:21:34 PM
I'm looking for someone to repair a 1978 Playboy pinball; the playfield lights turn on but the score displays do not. Do you know anyone near Mobile (actually about 30 miles south on Dauphin Island) or do you service this area? Thanks

Maybe one of the Boys up at Flippin' Great Pinball in Tallahassee can lend you a ear on a potential tech.

Does it boot all the way?
There is a fuse on the top right board in the backbox; is it blown?

shotgun attack:

he needs an alltek MPU to start.

all classic Ballys "light up" from the power switch, but if you get no displays, no feature lights, no preboot bong, no other sounds, and can't start a game,..

your MPU is dead.

if it was working fine for you less than a month ago, ignore my post. :D
