Credit goes to the main list from Ron at Google groups (circa 2011), but I want an updated list with any additions you guys can throw in for backglass sizes…when people ask me to cut a glass (or make a custom translite), I’d like up-to-date specs and easy one click from my cell phone :)
need input such as: EM wedgehead Gottlieb games, the new spike system Stern games, Capcom, Game Plan, Zaccaria, etc. please don't google search...I cross checked the pinwiki on this subject, and it has the wrong sizes listed...as I may have in this 1st post, since I pasted the original list (but removed mistakes I found). the ones added after this post are games I own:
Stern - 2003+ / Sam System
26 X 19 1/4
WPC games - Bally/Williams games from the 90's
27 X 19
System 11 Games - same size as WPC
27 X 19
Capcom - Pinball Magic, Airborne
26 x 19 5/8
Bally and Stern - early solid state - Paragon, Supersomic, Eight Ball, Nugent, Trident
28 1/2 X 25 3/4
Bally - Small Backbox Solid State - Mr & Mr's Pacman/Centaur II/8 Ball Deluxe
25 1/2 X 15
Early Williams - Gorgar, Flash, Firepower
28 1/2 X 25 1/2
Data East - Star Wars, LAH, LW3
26 X 22 1/2
Bally - circa 1980's - Elvira, Game Show, Dr. Dude
27 X 23 1/2
Pinball 2000 - Revenge from Mars and Star Wars Episode 1
22 X 14 1/4
Misc:
Midway - Kings of Steel - 25 3/4 X 28 1/2
Midway - City Slicker - 26 1/4 x 24 5/8
Stern - Viper - 26 1/2 X 21
Midway - Safecracker - 19 1/2 X 18 7/8
Williams - Big Guns 27 X 25 1/4
-
Sega Large DMD games - Baywatch, Frankenstein, Batman Forever, Maverick

This should be pinned somewhere.

This should be pinned somewhere.
it'll stay high enough if we add to it. :)
I have used ron's list, and it has mistakes, and I've used the pinwiki, which unfortunately, has more mistakes.
I've had to recut glass for many of the erics here, because of bad info on those lists.
Capcom was listed as 26...lol. so...26 by 100? data easts were also measured wrong.
I can cut glass at my home or at the shop, but it's nice to have a database with the right numbers. ;D
and no one has listed stern star wars, or aerosmith sizes yet. I know I can find some chick-heavy translites for those.

need anything else from my collection measured K7?

anything not listed, and is verified as accurate, works for me.
translite games more, because most people won't do a translite if they break an original painted glass.
but...if they do, or the game has an unobtanium glass, it is a cheap option. :)
-
i think i'd like to make this a sticky. ;D and i want member input...i've found errors in other lists.
verified:
Data East/Sega Version 3 (Normal DMD games: LW3 thru Tommy): backglass is 26 x 22 1/2
Widebody Data East (Guns&Roses, WWF Royal Rumble): backglass is 26 x 20 1/4
Stern Spike DMD games (Ghostbusters, Kiss): backglass is 26 x 19 1/4
Stern Spike 2 LCD games (Star Wars, Iron Maiden, Munsters, Beatles): backglass is 16 1/2 x 25 7/8
-
adding a playfield glass size:
1967-1973 Bally games that use the canopy framed-in playfield glass design. marco sells standard glass for this pinball, but they don't take standard glass.
From Rocket III ('67) through Circus ('73), includes Nip-It, Hi-Lo Ace, Big Show...playfield glass size - 41 3/8 x 21 x 3/16 tempered no logo
