This got some good reviews so I checked it out..

Since its 2025 I guess movie reviews are now as fake as everything else because this was mediocre.

The two leads are not likable or interesting.. there is some body horror in it but nothing really working because its cartoony. The dude is a ridiculous stereotype of a failed middle aged loser dude who cant survive without his long suffering girlfriend etc.

I get that the whole thing is a metaphor for relationships and that but that doesn’t make it work any better as movie.

Really don’t know… maybe just not my thing and i am missing the point, some people were calling it “best horror movie in years” blah blah.

Gets a 90% on Rotten tomatoes?  :P

I'd give it maybe a 3.5 out of 10.

Unfortunately I don't trust any sort of 'professional' reviewers.. not since The Last Jedi got like rave reviews.

People are too afraid to tell the truth and get blacklisted by the corporations.

Thanks for letting us know.. this was a possible for next week. Might be Weapons now which I fear because I fucking hated Barbarian even though once again.. great online review scores.

I think they pay off people to write reviews on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes as non professionals.. either that or peoples tastes in movies have gone way downhill (which is certainly possible). Even normal reviews are over the top now...

You may actually like the movie I dunno... I find it hard to get into any movie where I could care less about the main characters.

In this case they are annoying as fuck (Franco playing a dipshit... or himself basically)  :P and they are totally unbelievable as a couple.

They even somehow make Allison Bree completely unappealing...  even later in the movie where she takes her shirt off for no good reason which she seems to do in every movie now.

It's also a "horror" movie with virtually no horror in it unless you are squeamish about the lame effects body stuff.
