Tron Rules question
« on: July 28, 2011, 07:27:50 PM »
Is there any other way to get Extra Ball lit other than the Random Arcade rewards?  I see something in the adjustments about Left Ramp shots and extra balls and the adjustments you can make.  I'll make the Left Ramp 12 times in a game, but nothing?

Nope. To my knowledge you haven't been able to to EARN an Extra Ball in the last few Stern titles. It comes as a random award.

They have added some lighting effects. The extra ball will appear more frequently on the mystery table and will light when you complete the Daft Punk feature on the ramps. You will want to look on their website for the 1.3 code update...

Noted from a facebook reply from Borg.

With 1.3 (LE) you can increase the percentage for extra ball in the settings.  I've set the replay reward for extra ball on other games before, but haven't done it to Tron yet.. just don't want my scores to be over-inflated compared to others (would like to see how my scores compare to others with standard settings and 3-ball for now).  You can also set "Special" to extra ball also (this appears to be a hard thing to achieve also, since it's random on the arcade shot and you must drain down the correct lane to get it).  And "Daft Punk" mode is pretty hard to achieve, I always get very close but rarely get it.

And not to jump on the "Tron is the shit" bandwagon, but the LE really has impressed me.. it has the quality I look for in a pin, replay value-  I find myself always just about getting that better score or next mode, and I just want to keep on playing until I get further because I know I can get it if I just keep playing!!

Glad I got the LE also, I don't like to say I'll never get rid of a pin, but with this Title and amazing gameplay I doubt it will ever leave my collection  ;D

True, but Rome didn't have the LE with current software, 5 other pins to play, and I don't believe is as big of a fanboy as I am about the Tron Title  ;D
