LOOKING for place to purchase parts or send off to repair boards.
I have just purchased my first retro 1980's game;Gorf. The problem is I paid a premium price for a working game, and it did work for 10 minutes. I've tried adding attachments but I suppose since I'm a new $ contributor, that I don't have attachment privledges yet?
There are yellow vertical lines that are 1/2" apart and 1/4" wide across the entire screen, and once you nit the 1 player button those t]lines change to dots, and each ship blows up sequentially after the next ship without touching any controls. All the ships blow blow up within 5 seconds.
Checked 5 volts to cage, reseated all chips, cleaned board's teeth to ensure excellent contact when back in cage. I've run it in test mode but that doesn't work either. Reset the boards 5 times and looked for jammed label in the cage slots too.
Thinking I need new IC chips, or video board? WHERE CAN I BUY a set of boards, or better yet the video board?
NOTE: if it's the right situation then I might add a nicer control panel, marquee, heck the whole cabinet. Checked on eBay and there isn't anything there that's worth the price. I don't want a set of boards missing the sound chip, nor only 4 of the boards.
