Had a dozen or so through the years. Very fun game. Used to play with Oronde Gadsden and a few other Dolphins players once a week. Had more then a few very high stakes games going on the one in my home game room. If you like quick and fast football go blitz. If you like strategy playing go Madden or Madden season 2 which is the upgrade kit. Solid game. Have fun!

I've modified the GlobalVR base image to run on better hardware and they're a lot more reliable now.

Bad caps were always the culprit on these.  I’ve lost count on how many mother boards and video cards I’ve recapped.  As others have stated, you can now run them on more reliable hardware.  It does use 49 way joysticks which are getting expensive.

I would imagine that it is over a 10 year old version of Madden.  Are there any features of the arcade version over modern console versions?

I really liked mine. It's one of those games I would have liked to have kept if the space wasn't the issue.

Mine had a stick of ram go bad that caused all sorts of problems and then gentlemen who I later sold it too had the power supply in the computer take a dive. These things can be expected from old PC hardware though.

If WTF can modify the image then that's great, that would definitely keep these going.

I need the Season 2 discs, both OS & Game. If someone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

older architecture parts are cheap to replace, though. :) i took a PGA Tour Golf hard drive out of a PC with blown caps on the motherboard, put it in a more modern PC, tweaked the bios, and was up and running.

crap, i have 20+ power supplies sitting in a box in my office. 3 specific for bowl-o-ramas. and probably 100+ sticks of older RAM.

I'll take one of those BOR power supplies and an ATX over 300W if you have extras. I just used my last few unhand for repairs.
