Okay.  I am going to try and get them pulled.  I am going to do the NeoGeo's monitor and the SFA3's for now.  I am going to skip the Tekken 3 for now.  I think TimothyC has a Sea Wolf needing some monitor love too.

Okay.  Monitors are pulled.  I am all ready for Saturday morning.  Timothy is going to help me load them in the car tomorrow so I will be ready.  I am going to email Jim now too.

Well, I got back from Atari Jim's house a little while ago.  After watching him work, I wont take a monitor to anyone else.  He is a master with these things.  He explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and then explained how to properly adjust them when I got them home.  I learned quite a bit today.  I wasn't too bad on cost either.  It is probably because he doesn't use kits.  He has capacitors, transistors, flybacks, boards, etc. all organized and ready for using and I think that helps him keep costs low and use higher quality parts.

As for the Neotech 2515c monitor, it is still at Jim's.  He did a cap replacement and changed the flyback but, there are other issues with it.  He is going to work on it when he gets more time so, I may need to wait for the next Tampa/Orlando Express to get it or take another trip down there.

Anyway, thank you for the recommendation for using Jim.  If nothing else, it was cool to watch him work.

Well, the monitor is fixed.  It needed a cap kit, Power Supply Control IC and new Flyback.  Came to $195 plus tax.  It may not be ready this weekend because I may have to pay before Jim can get the new Flyback (he tested with a used one) and I get paid Friday.

Either way, at least the monitor shouldn't be an issue for a while.

Picked up the monitor this morning.  Installed it this afternoon.  Now I can finally get the rest of the NeoGeo in order.  The monitor does look great!  Expensive fix... but great!

$200 doesn't seem like much when you consider how many people are left that know how to work on these things. Glad it worked out for you!

Atari Jim is really good at repairing them.  The monitor looks great.  It is nice finally having the game running.  The PCB has some issues with it but, I think it just needs a good cleaning.  My daughter and her friends were having a ball playing on it this weekend.

If you are in need of replacement artwork for the sides or front, this guy does amazing repro's.

There's also a guy who does very professional mini marquees here.

And if you just want to browse through some already premade mini marquees, here's a good place with good prices.

Thanks for the info.  I like the silk screens.  Are they reusable?
