Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with the lamp system on my Twilight Zone pinball machine. Sometimes, certain lights don’t turn on properly at startup, and I’m wondering if this is a circuit problem or something related to the programming. Has anyone experienced this kind of malfunction on this model before?

Also, I recently came across a very interesting article about the different hero classes in Dragon Quest Heroes 2, which might inspire modifications or additions in arcade games. Here’s the link if you’re interested: https://jeu.video/article/dragon-quest-heroes-2-differentes-classes-de-heros

Thanks in advance for your advice and feedback!

Most likely a connector issue with burnt out wires on idc connectors. Looks for burn marks on wires on bottom left of power driver board. Common problem
May require some board work to replace pins and repinning of the connectors. If not then look to missing wires on lamps or worn solder pads on lamp boards. They will need to be reflowed with solder and perhaps replace the 555 light bulb holders.
Good luck with it.

Danny,  there's a lot of.... Well badness in the world today. I see it in the court everyday. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.... didn't want to do it.... felt I owed it to them.

J120 and J121 are probably the culprit but you need to inspect as Al said.  Could be burnt connectors, loose wires, cracked solder joints, bad crimps, or a mix of all of these.

If they look normal, boot the game and put some pressure on the connectors and gently wiggle them.  See if they flicker.
