FS: Twilght Zone sample game 2600.00 SALE PENDING
« on: May 11, 2010, 02:26:27 PM »
This is the last pin I have left to sell. It is an early sample game with the third magnet. Third magnet is not active, not sure what it needs to get it working, but it's all wired in. I was told it requires the 9.4 home ROM to make it operable. Game is in pretty nice shape, has a brand new DMD & PinLED DMD driver board, new pf glass, legs, leg bolts and pincab protectors. Comes with a new coin door decal to cover up 2 screws and the lockbar holes (see pics) and a new rear pf glass plastic. Also comes with the correct original manual for a sample game and a schematics manual as well. Game does have a couple issues. First is when the gumball is loaded it doesn't register as one of the optos is bad so it needs to do a ball search to kick it out. This issue is also making the game behave funny. The other problem is a bad opto in the clock, clock works, but not properly. I'm offering this at 2600.00 and no less. Cash deal and in person pick up only at this price. Jeff has seen and played the game in person so maybe he can chime in with his opinion of it's condition as well. I'm located in Kissimmee 34746.

Nice price!  If I didn't have a HEP TZ, I'd be all over this, too!

Wow....I can't believe the price has dropped on this, since I thought it was MORE than fair several hundred dollars ago!  Not sure why Herman and Santeh passed on this one, I saw it and it looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and no WAY will you find a nicer TZ for $2,600, or not even $3k I'd guess.  Those optos/ and switch issues shouldn't be too difficult to fix, just time consuming I'd guess to track them down.  Ken also tends to exaggerate flaws...the "flaws" that I had to look 2-3 times to even see!  I understand he does it for full disclosure, but really, those things are NOT a big deal, or even noticeable unless you're looking for them (like the screws) which I KNEW were there and STILL had trouble finding them.  This sure won't last long NOW...can't believe it hasn't sold even at the ORIGINAL asking price!  So yes, I've seen it, played it....the new seller will certainly be happy with it!

I picked up one locally a few weeks ago or I would certainly be interested in this one.  Looks like a solid machine and a very nice price.

Sorry, went golfing, just got home. I see I have several interested, but it looks like Kevin was first to email so unless he changes his mine it looks to be sold. Anthony you are second in line at this point.
Herman, I'm not sure why you couldn't get through to me, I just sent you a PM.
Jeff, thanks for chiming in on the game. I have a bunch of extra new parts for the game if you remember which I didn't include at the lower price except for the coin door decal which I want the buyer to have the option of installing. Yeah I am very critical of things I own, it's my anal retentive / obsessive compulsive nature.
PINBUM, my boat could be for sale as I have my eye on a brand new Honda ST1300 ABS. I want to buy it without pulling money out of the bank, so now would be the best time to try and get me to sell it. I'll email you about it.
Thanks to all for your interest.  Ken
