A win is a win, but imo that was very UN-impressive...and against the hapless Dolphins. I would say the Dolphins gave that lame ass game away more than Tebow seized it, but he DID make the several plays he needed to win it in the end. Miami was pathetic: 2 field goals, then a TD and were up 12-0, so why not go for a 2 point conversion in case Tebow brings the Broncos back suddenly and scores 2 td's? Nice thinking, except that when they missed that 2 point conversion rather than take the ONE point, that would have been the difference in winning the game IF Denver somehow could come back. Well, they DID come back, and since the 2 point try failed they end up tied and go to OT, where they fumble and hand the ball to Denver in field goal range. Yuch.
Tebow looked clueless most of the game, couldn't read the defense and pocket collapsed on him every other play for holding onto the ball too long, not finding an open receiver...he damn well BETTER be able to run. As the analysts mentioned, this surely is not Elway's vision of what they want in their future QB. When they play a few real teams in the coming weeks it will tell us more, either Tim gets his shit together more or it will all fall apart. Next up is the Lions, which should be interesting. Lions have a 2 game losing streak, seem to have much more talent than Denver, but Tebow will have the REAL home crowd behind him now, and perhaps some more confidence to make a better showing and learn from today's outing.
