More details will be forthcoming when I return from a family related trip this weekend, but I thought I would provide some initial info. The event will be 12-5 pm at my house, on the Northern edge of Palm Beach County. I have plenty of space, so parking will not be an issue. There will be 30 or so pins up and playing and probably a dozen other arcade and video games. I will provide food, both in the form of appetizers provided by Jeanne (my wife) and stuff that I will cook on the grill. There will be a main tournament, along with at least one mini-tournament. There will definitely be a Super Grover awarded.
As many of you know, I have the luxury of open space and tend to open my events up beyond the FLiPs community. This event will be open to a broader group of pinball enthusiasts. It is also an event where there is enough space and enough games of various types that family members are welcome to attend and encouraged to do so. My children (aged 4 & 5) will be there, and I assume that they will not be the only ones. My mother will also be visiting from Michigan.
So, please let me know if you will be able to attend. For those from out of town, the sooner you can let me know the better. I will be here through Thursday afternoon should be back in town next Sunday evening. During the intervening period, I will be attending a memorial service for my father and helping my mother with probate, so my ability and willingness to check email frequently during that period will be limited. So, feel free to send any questions or comments, but this is fair warning that if you send them on Friday or over the weekend, you probably will not get a response until after the weekend.
More to follow.
