Thank you!
« on: November 19, 2012, 01:56:05 PM »
I want to thank everyone who attended, supported, helped, and assisted SPF this year.  Without you, the show would not be possible.  Believe it or not, Donny and myself are VERY excited about the 2013 campaign and scheming has already started.  Special thanks to everyone who brought games.  It truly is the foundation of the show, and I hope everyone knows that we DEEPLY appreciate the efforts of all of you.  It is not easy packing, loading, unloading, driving to and from the venue, with these games.  We hope that it was satisfying for you, watching people enjoying them, playing them, and rediscovering this crazy thing we love as pinball!  Huge thanks!!

Also, it was very difficult to keep track of all of the people, faces, discussions, and things going on throughout the four days I was there.  It was difficult keeping up with everything in general at times, so first off, if I was a little distant and didn't quite recognize you or know your board name, I apologize!  Second, if you volunteered, please do not be shy about asking for a shirt as I offered.  I know I missed at least one of you so please, send me a PM or email and I will mail one out pronto!!  Again, so much was going on, I am sorry if you left the show without one!

See you all at APE!

We should be thanking you guys, not the other way around!

People on every machine all weekend, top notch speakers, massive tournament participation, and plenty of hotel rooms booked is all the confirmation you need to add on another year, expand the venue, add events, increase vendor participation, etc.  What will 2014 hold?  ;)

I can't begin to tell you guys how warm and fuzzy I feel after seeing everyone enjoy our hard work. Your support is AMAZING! I never would have been able to keep up with the tournament participation without Bowen Kerins & Mark Steinman from PAPA. I am so pleased that we are part of the PAPA Circuit and I hope we remain so for years to come! Their contribution to the prize pool allowed me to pay ALL "A" Division qualifiers.

Everything went so smoothly with the help of our volunteers that I had no idea that some issues even occured. We had ZERO complaints about ANYTHING! (Well, except having to pay for wireless in your room, but we had wireless in the hall.) I just want to give you all a big hug ((( | )))

Thank you Leon and Donnie! Looked like a major success this year. My time there was short this year but had a blast non the less. The tourny looked very competative and all the pinballs were nice examples with hardly any issue's that I noticed?

Just wish I would have got there a little sooner...As I walked in JJP was folding up WOZ so I was a little bumbed about that but then again it will be that much sweeter when I do actually get to take a wack at it. So did Jack only have the WOZ on display for 1 day? Or did they packed it up for every day?

I still get a big kick of playing a Grand Lizard! One of my past favs as a kid!

BSD kicked my arhs so bad I just walked away from the tourny....scratching all but one measly score...NEXT TIME!!! :)

Thanks a ton you guys for making this show happen once more! Toast to many many more shows to come from SPF!

We need to get about 150- 200 pins next year if possible.  Seems we are getting more people bringing games, and that is great, now we need to call in GA, NC, SC, etc to bring games to SPF, then we can get Vendors to come and set up.  Now that is a show.

+1,  I agree Curly.   I'm in next year for 2 Pins.   Need a good covered trailer or convert my open
trailer to something that works.

Got some time to work on that.

Regards,
Victor...

Also agree that if Leon and Donnie can pull in Ga and the Carolina's,  150 Pins could be had quite well.

Good luck on the planning for next year...

We were hoping that JJP would bring WoZ over Friday night after IAAPA, but that didn't happen. It showed up a couple hours into the show on Saturday then stayed until shortly after Jack was finished with his seminar. It's a shame we couldn't have it for longer, but it was great to at least have WoZ make an appearance. If you made it to IAAPA there were 8 machines setup for 2-ball games. I highly recommend at least heading there for a couple hours...it's truely a great tradeshow.

We need to thank Curly and LSOG as well...without having the latest Stern titles to play, our show and tournament wouldn't be much fun. It was above and beyond for him to pack them up from IAAPA and get them to our show quickly so we could pound on them all weekend. I hope everybody considers him for their next game or parts purchase. Well done, old man ;)

For those who don't have a enclosed trailer the uhals trailers are not that expensive can be had for 18-30 a day plus you don't have to pay millage.  BTW Leon count on me bringing another 3 pins next year it was a blast.

Danny,  there's a lot of.... Well badness in the world today. I see it in the court everyday. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.... didn't want to do it.... felt I owed it to them.
