Need jeep tire and rim
« on: January 15, 2013, 02:31:24 PM »
Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap rim and tire for my 2005 jeep wrangler.  It's a 15" rim.  I am going to put the jeep for sale and want to put a spare tire on the back prior to posting for sale (my spare was stolen off the back of the jeep a few months ago).

Thanks

hit craigslist, and put any rim/tire on there that meets the 5x114.3 requirement. 5 on 4.5...

ford, toyota, mitsubishi, mazda, nissan, lexus, infiniti, jeep, and a lot more will fit.

i have a spare jeep rim with almost a brand new tire (used multiple jeep rims a lot to do burnouts in my Z), but i'm just a bit far from you. :o

i look for wheel and tire deals locally on eBay, and it sucks. i don't know what it is, but people think their single rim is worth $300.00 plus shipping, when i can find full sets of the exact rim with tires for less than that on craigslist.

craigslist is good for wheels and tires, but there are so many different ways you have to search. i've been looking for a set of polished GSR blades for a year, most owners are too flaky to deal with after an email or 2...

most rims and wheels i buy with solid tires, then i just use them up, then sell rims/bad tires for the same price back on craigslist. that's good recycling. :P

the 1st, 3rd, and 4th link above are good with keeping stock with a jeep. just make sure they are 5 on 4.5, but all look to be correct...

good luck. :)
