It's a cool story about him building it in his basement over all of those years. I mean, who saw Cannonball Run and didn't want that Lamborghini? That car was totally bad ass and still looks amazing.
HOWEVER
Yeah I don't see paying $80k for it if you are somebody else. At the end of the day its a kit car recreation, not the real deal. Hell it's probably more reliable than a real one, but given that you could probably track down a vintage one in that price range it's a bit of a head scratcher.
I understand there's probably $80k of work and money in it.. but that doesn't always count for as much as it should.
