Well hell, the date of Oct. 12 has already been picked out for about a month now, since Gamewarp. That specific date was chosen because a bunch of the guys in the group asked me not to have it the 3rd or 4th weeks of the month due to other activities and Chicago Pin Expo, and I may be out of town anyway towards those last few weekends. There were conflicts with the 1st weekend in October, and the last few in September, so that's how we ended up with Oct. 12. I told a bunch of the guys already, but was waiting to post until after we got past Al's party in August and whoever might be hosting in September. Fortunately we now have a healthy amount of pin events in the state of Florida, but unfortunately there's bound to be conflicts for those die hards that try to make most or all of them,k and as hard as I tried to pick a good date I guess all of us who host or put on events can't accomodate everyone. I know at least several of our Pops guys are regulars at the Asylum when they have their events, and I actually kinda was hoping a few of the asylum guys and even Pinball Ambassador Donohue might want to try to make it up this way as well.
I don't know if the asylum event 3-4 hours away from Orlando is going to affect the majority of the group though attendance wise, and if I'm going to host it really HAS to be in October before the in-laws get back at the end of the month, so that doesn't leave us with many choices.
As space is somewhat limited here also, the plan was to get an idea of how many of the regular Orlando area Pops members might attending, as I can't handle an open party for the entire Village. I think an early count was already at 15, so it's ALREADY more than half full of the max number i told Linda we'd have. So, at this time, those who think they may be attending please start PM'ing me and let's see where we stand. And also those who WON'T be attending and going to the asylum instead feel free to PM me and let me know that, in case for some reason 90% of POPS is heading there, that might also change things, and/or consider canceling altogether? I don't know what else to do at this point until I start seeing some PM's. Thanks, guys!
