Three Free Games from SPF
« on: November 25, 2013, 12:32:38 PM »
I enjoyed SPF this past weekend, and usually after each show I ask my friends, "If you could take home three games with you, not considering value, or trading later, which three would they be?".

My list from SPF 2013:

1) WOZ 75th Anniversary - It was pretty
2) Quick Draw - Great example of a classic drop target EM
3) Star Trek LE - The game looked and played great

PINS: White Water, Elvira HOH, Foo Fighters Pre, Mousin' Around, Sorcerer, Bride of Pin·bot, Spectrum
WTB: Nine Ball, Cosmic Gunfight, Argosy, Prospector, Andromeda,

I managed to be there all three days and not play one game. If I had the option though it would be ST:LE, MET, WOZ:RR.

I'll go old school

Bowl A Strike - The jittery pins rollovers are awesome
2001 - Drop target heaven, nudging required!
Quick Draw - I put more games on this than any other game... even with a couple key inserts out :)

My ideal three would be WOZ, Gilligan's Island, 2001. As for what was available and in my price range, I did bring home Jokerz, something I've tried to buy before but never found at reasonable price and condition. It's with Curly right now for tune up and upper playfield replacement (damn rivets). Can't believe I got a brand new upper playfield included in the deal. This will probably be the only Jokerz I've ever seen with clear ramps and CLEAR upper pf! (Don't want to hijack this thread, if you bought something you might want to post in my new topic.)
Games Owned: Fish Tales,, Countdown, Joker Poker (YES!), DWHO, EATPM, GRAND LIZARD, 60 Multicade
Past Games Owned: Gilligan's Island,Stock Car EM, Cherry Bell, Black Pyramid, Jokerz!, Hang Glider, Capt. Fantastic, Nip-It, Pro Pool, Dimension, Bally Supreme (wood rail) Genco Spitfire (wood rail). Arcade: Defender, Robbie Roto. (Got carried away at an auction on Roto, sheesh!) WTB: Alien Poker, Paragon, Surfin' Safari, Eight Ball Delux.

I'd probably go with those also, with Jeff not Jim's Quick Draw a sentimental favorite somewhere close behind.  I like pinball magic also....would take Batman Forever ahead of everything but already have one, so not sure if we're hypothetically counting games we already have.

Well then, I'd still rather take yours just because! :)  :P  I remember you telling me you got one, so assumed it was yours.  Nice to see you brought the slew of EM's as always to represent that era, I always love seeing and playing them!
