What did you buy at SPF?
« on: November 26, 2013, 05:45:20 AM »
Let me think... I bought TWO rubens in the hotel bar (different days) because they were great and it's hard to find good pastrami in the sandwich. Forgot to look at the art in the lobby so I missed that, and posters were not available so that was missed. I bought some accent LED's for my EATPM backglass, was great to meet Art, super nice and hard working guy. Oh, and I bought the Jokerz machine with a brand new uninstalled upper playfield included. Curly will do the pf install and tune up, I didn't want to mess with the rivets. I was interested in the Old Chicago, killer bg and pf, but Jokerz won out for the price and value to me personnally. Did anyone else buy anything?

I bought a couple pieces of Python's artwork there , signed limited prints with certificates of authenticity - the  best part was I was able to talk to Python on the phone and was given his phone # and email to keep in touch by him!  Bought 3 shirts from that booth as well, and a sign.  Two new sheets of glass from Curly, and the VIP package.

Tried to buy a Shrimp Po'Boy from the so-called restaurant, but after waiting 40 minutes for my lunch I decided to go back and play some Gilligan's Island.

Sadly, no pinball games purchased

I was going to buy Jokerz, but someone beat me to it (Thank You, by the way).

It's on my WTB list and I will get one someday, but too many competing priorities right now to drag home another project pin.

Aside from that, I bought a hamburger and a bunch of beers.  :-)

My Wife and I stayed sat and sun pm.

Got 2 shirts but no LEDs since I have way to many other projects.

Went to Tilted Kilt Sat pm for dirinks, dinner, and college football.  That place is a riot! The food was actually very good - seriously.

Went down by Ale House and Dave n Busters after the show shut down - that's a great new area there.

Favorite was Giordanos pizza....totally !!yum!!. For Sunday brunch.  :P

Met pin pup after he bragged he got the Jokers.  Nice to meet you and great game.

Very fun weekend.

Happy gaming,
Big Al

Very pleased with my Jokerz purchase, hope I didn't come off as an insensitive jerk, who likes to gloat over others. (I'm doing my Snoopy Happy Dance right now!)   ;)
