I was curious if people noticed issues with certain games that were otherwise 100% working, but might have had some QUIRKS after getting hundreds of plays.

I started this thread just so myself and others could tighten up games that they had on the floor and got a fair bit of use that they don't normally get at home.  If my game had a problem - I want to know so I can squash the bugs in my machine.   I thought others might want the same.

This is NOT for the games that had to go to sickbay - but those that stayed on the floor and maybe a pinball mode didn't work, or a button or stick was "iffy", or started to develop a slight monitor issue that wasn't significant enough to get pulled, etc.

This is also NOT to FLAME or COMPLAIN  about people's games - just to give notice to those that had games on the floor that they might need to adjust or fix some things once they get back in the game room, so that they have optimal play again.  I am sure everyone brought fully working, great games - but we all know - once STRANGERS start playing them - that's when they start to act up :D

For instance, I noticed on my games:

 - Time Crisis 2's monitor had too much blue in the pic when warm.  May need adjust color / replace caps.
 - Blast City Candy Cab had a loose video cable that would omit "red".

On others - I noticed the following:

 - Theatre of Magic 's multi-ball was dumping balls straight into the right outlane.  Also, could not hit the trunk from the right flipper at all.
 - Star Trek (new one) would get a ball stuck around the bumper area about 10% of the time.  Had to bump the machine hard enough to trigger a TILT before it would get dislodged.  Almost certainly a design flaw and no fault of the owner.
 - Twilight Zone would often get the ball stuck on the skill shot.

On Stargate, the lower right flipper was almost completely dead when I played it - I couldn't come anywhere close to shooting the pyramid unless I got lucky with a side-shot from the upper flipper.  Sweet game, though!

On the Zombie Raid shooter, i also felt like the Player 1 gun might be misaligned a little to the left - I couldn't seem to get a good feel for where I was shooting, and I'm typically an ace at those.

Zombie raids guns will get off target if it takes heavy use. I put it through the alignment screen and it's a straight shooter again, thanks.

This turned out to be a loose flipper. Steve tightened it down and is was back to full strength!  That side shot into the pyramid is tough sometimes, but fun.  Glad you enjoyed it though!  It's being picked up tonight to start its journey to a new home.  I just ran out of room with the completion of my Champ Sprint vid!

The missile command had a nice picture and track ball but the the three shooting buttons would not fire until you released them with your finger.

Twilight Zone- ball got stuck a few times along apron after outlane drains (on both the right and left sides)

Millipede- monitor very dim.  Yesterday the left side of the monitor display started "drooping"

Congo- left flipper sticking

Whitewater - head stopped spinning

No Fear - Jump ramp flipper seemed week, or perhaps magnets were not firing... Or all may be working fine, and it was just in my head :)

Robotron -  The only issue here is that this one is not in my house!

NF- Make sure the long shaft that the jump ramp flipper goes through is securely attached to the underside of playfield (3 screws I think).  Mine sometimes comes loose.

By the way- awesome paint (powder coat?) on the legs!

There is a local guy who does a lot of powdercoating on our pin parts.  My STTNG was at the show.  The gun handle for that was powdercoated by the same guy.  I thought he did a great job on the NF legs.

Tz was not pitched enough in the rear, and everytime I remembered it was either super crowded or I was adding credits, unsticking, fixing games. But Pitched correct it has 0 issues with stuck balls.

Great thread.

And no one has mentioned the "ghetto" marquee on KLAX yet ...

Ouch!   Pengo looked great, but I did notice that it was overlooked by many.

It is the Expo, and there is time for Klax!  I hope that remains an expo staple in FL.

On a serious note, Steve O - that color DMD on STTNG totally sold me on their value.  Looks like a totally different pin.  So sweet.  I will now be sad every time I play a TNG that doesn't have one.

A couple of other repair notes:
-The Dr Who was having some issues with the ball lock, and also the upper left flipper was pretty weak (I was having a really tough time hitting those loops, which I tend to be pretty good at).  I think I saw some guys working on it during the show, though.
-the Xenon's right-most metal outlane divider kept coming loose on the bottom, so the ball was getting caught in the right outlane.  I know it got temporarily fixed a couple of times, not sure if anyone had time to do a solid repair.
