My new found love for the 44/47 bayonet style light socket.

I love the look of the 555 light boards and was out looking for whatever I could weither it was old 4 bank boards or the single 555 light boards(of which are unavailable). My only option for easy to purchase light sockets were either the stern plastic ones which are cool but they don't give you freedom because they are crimp connectors, or the bayonet sockets.

I always hated the look of the bayonet style sockets but new they actually look really nice and give you total freedom of adjustment and use of wiring. I actually designed a whole bank of inserts around a unique light board I have but now actually going to take it off and put in the bayonet style because they will look and work better. Funny how light sockets actually influenced the playfield design.

I found painting most of the wires and sharping only the black banded wires worked the best.  Painting actually turned out to be easier and worked better.
