I think that's prob the dewalt router I had in the past.  I would use the 1/4" collet though always and just buy 1/8" bits at precise bits with the 1/4 collet ring on it so u can use with a 1/4"collet.

the DW660 is a rotary tool ( like a rotozip ), its not a palm router. however, has a 30K rpm spindle.

I'm actually having some trouble getting the software set up but haven't spent too much time with it.  I can't get the guides ended to recognize the router.  I'm guessing I have to set up the port somehow.

Cool frank, u have a link to cwhere u got your router?

mine was just plug in play, install the arduino suite first ( arduino.cc ), and then plug the arduino board in, and it will show up as a serial port, then you can launch universal gcode sender (make sure its the lastest version )

one I bought was here

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221273652165?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

uses parallel port

I am going to add some end of travel switches to it so it doesn't self destruct if I mess up... parallel port should have enough available pins to add the 6 switches

Very interesting, has been an interesting thread. Especially interested in the electrical toilet paper wired up at the back of the bench. How does that work?   :o
