Well figured with so much going on and so much still in planning stages, figured would do a quick update on the announcements, so deep breath and here goes :
Free Play Florida will be bringing the Arcade & Pinball experience to Orlando Nerdfest next month, it runs from 7th - 11th and we will be there with a full lineup of machines to play
John Salter & David Cruz will be going head to head in Tron : Battle for the Grid, this World Record will start Thursday evening and run till Saturday evening or beyond, who will have the stamina to take the title
Our very own Arcade Doctor (Keith Swanson) will be taking on Gorf for the 6 ship World Record on Friday, and then Saturday will be running the Arcade Tournament along with Chris (The Bart Barcade)
Stephen Boyer & Steven Kleisath will be attempting to take down the 2 player Mario Bros World Record, then later in the same day go head to head with other sets of players across the world, to see who is the champion of champions
We will have Robbie Lakeman on hand to tackle that annoying Ape and see if he can take it down and beat the World Record (more challengers to be added soon)
Wes Copeland will also be taking down the Ape, and also tackling the Defender World Record, its a whooping 33 hours to beat it!
We have a mass of sponsors that have kindly supported the show and we appreciate all of them, some of them are also vendors and the vendor area is filling up fast!!
We have a couple of amazing artists so far, Vanessa Farano and Michael 'Locoduck' Duron lined up for the vendor area, they are creating some Arcade & Pinball themed art prior to the show, also will do commisions as the event
CEO Gaming will be bringing the FGC to Free Play, challenge the best of the best at Ultra SF IV, KI, Smash and more!
and Jasen's Customs will be here bringing you some super cool Fight sticks, SuperGuns and more
Richie Knucklez will be bringing 'The King of Arcades' movie to Free Play, with a Q&A, George Leutz will also be around all weekend, as will Billy Mitchell, signing TG cards, being part of panels and more, also have Video Craze Movie with Dave Danzara, so grab the popcorn for movie night
Jerry Buckner (PacMan Fever) will be on hand, signing, talking in panels and more
We will have the 501st Legion on hand, along with Roxy, and a few other surprises to keep an eye over the Star Wars area
Uno's Pizzeria & Grill be offering an off site event with specials, guest bartenders, machines to play and more (more details to follow)
The Bart is the official Barcade of Free Play and we will have a Cash Bar the entire weekend, with a great selection of craft brews
Saturday Night is the Community Support Appreciation Party, yes if you brought a Game, we want to thank you with a special Party, who will win Best of Show? Best Pinball, Best Video and more? lots of prizes will be given away, and lots of fun and maybe some crazy late night singing from George, Jerry & Friends ;-)
PAPA will be onsite and will ensure its a great Pinball Tournament with our very own Greywolf (Donny)
