Hey guys, here's an update on the Tournament planned for Replay. Because of a few issues, I was not able to secure IFPA points for the Tournament. This would of required Replay to be open to the public on the date requested, as well as a few other issues. Any hoot, we will be having a tournament using a standard format. I believe people will be coming and going as they please, so I did not want to have set hours that the tournament was taking place. Because of this reason we will not have a paid entry/cash payout.
With all that aside, the tournament will be FREE to enter, and will be able to be completed at the leisure of the players involved. The format will be our standard format, wherein you have to play a bank of six games, with at least one other player. The top score for each game will receive a point value, determined by the number of total players. Each subsequent score will receive 1 minus the previous value, IE 20 players, top score would get 20 points, second highest would earn 19, and thereforth. The value will grow as participant are added to the Tournament. I will be using the scores of five of the bank of six to count as the initial player entry. The sixth game is a precautionary score, that if needed will be substituted for a game that went down.
The standings will be posted live, through our standard setup, and the final results will be posted on the Village/Facebook the next day. The top three scores will be announced on-site at the time of closure. Since this is a free to enter tournament, there will be no cash payout, just bragging rights and possibly prizes. If anyone has some prize donations for the event, let me know or just bring them to the event. What ever is not used will be given back. If you are not there to collect the prize, it will pass through the FAC network, or will be given to you at the next social event. Hope to see you guys there!

P.S. While this specific tournament will be of the casual nature, that does not rule out from TBPL hosting other IFPA/Pinburgh Style/PAPA Card Style/Etc style tournament in the future. Once Replay is setup and all the details are worked out, we might even start a monthly tournament to coincide with out 1st WED Meetup at Octave.
