Four pins will work! Just need to do a different Faster tournament style. Like Rat did at my place. that was fun and moved fast, if its too quick, just have a second "cash tournament. The first one for JUST the trophy???? As for me, a meet up once a month is good for me. As I'm in Sarasota. A second "get together" for all in "close Proximity" is good for those who want to attend. IE St Pete area. You do not want to get BURNOUT! Before I became familiar with this group , there was (and still is) some pinball owners and players here (and they still don't partisapate with us) , We met up every Thurs in rotation.(5 different homes) and well we suffered burnout. One sold all of his games last year and took up motorcycles lol. The other 4 are just now starting to blow the dust off their games again. I will host again, soon. (but not in March!) enough rambling......see most of you soon!  :D

SURVEY - Monthly Replay Tournament

take a vote and see just how many will show up for a Sun the 18th event at Replay. and what would be an ideal time for the event??

Seems we all agree on a monthly tournament at Replay, but we do need to address the following before January 18th rolls around:

1. TIME: Replay is open Sunday from 11a - 7p. Do we play while they are open or schedule an after hours event starting at 7p like OCTAVE?

2. COST: What will be the price of admission, and should we still have a registration fee & prizes to top players as before?

3. POINTS: If the tourney runs during business hours, would our events qualify for IFPA points since they would be open to the public?

Love to hear your opinions; Here are mine!

1. TIME: 7p - 10p like Wednesdays @ OCTAVE would be great if Replay can offer us a private event.

2. COST: $10 for Tourney & Admission with $5 going toward prizes.

3. POINTS: If promoting prize money & points brings out more people & grows the group, then look for a time to start qualifying, say 5 or 6p? People who paid admission for Replay already would just pay $5 to join the tournament.

A tourney would be eligible for points provided it is listed on IFPA's site with at least 30 days' notice.

It would have needed to be submitted back before December 18th.

Edit: of course for your club's future monthly events, just submit the details anytime to IFPA at least 30 days ahead of the event.

1. Day time would be better for me, Replay is roughly an hr away for me, so 7pm means I wouldn't get home until midnightish and have to get up at 5:30am for work the next day. So I perfer noon/1ish.

2. I would like to see a discounted price for tournament players but I also understand that Replay is a business.

Tournament at Replay. Sunday is a great choice but the hours should be earlier. Being 2+ hours away with a 13 yr old that plays it would be too late for us. Plus the owner would probably like to have a little time off, that's a few hours on top of his regular day at the shop. Then the cost. If he cuts a break for the tournament players and charges for that time, it would probably be above a day pass that we would already be buying to play during the day.

Sundays fine
Earlier time, maybe noon, 1, 2, 3 or so. Just something with time to get home by 9pm.
Some of us would like to come over and spend the day playing, not just cram a tourney in.

Pins: High Speed, Shaq Attaq, NIght Moves, Caribbean Cruise, Roy Clark, Journey Virtual Pin

Arcades: Arkanoid, M.A.M.E.
