Hotel change

I just got a call from the hotel telling me they need to move us to their other property a couple miles down the road.  Has anyone else got the same call?

We were at 7550 W State Road 84, Davie, FL 33317 but are now at 7755 SW 6th St, Plantation, FL 33324.

Yup... Juan Rodriguez called and moved me also. He said they were moving the entire group to keep us all together. I mentioned we really don't know each other, and bitched a bit, eventually got a certificate for a free night's stay later on. Supposed to be a better, more expensive property just a bit farther from the show. We still got a great price, so no biggie. Just bugged me this block was set up long ago, and we were the folks asked to move. Funny thing was I had just reconfirmed my reservation a few hours earlier, I noticed they had my name wrong in my initial confirmation email, missed it at first. I'm sure the new place will be fine, my thanks to the organizers for getting us a good rate. I remember going to one show w/o a reservation, ended up in a real skunk works for a high price, never again!

Danny,  there's a lot of.... Well badness in the world today. I see it in the court everyday. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.... didn't want to do it.... felt I owed it to them.

Reserved a nice large room long ago, and got the effiency, Extended Stay America SUCKS!  There's nothing like sleeping on the floor of an air mattress on top of the heater/air cond.  Might as well been under the trees with my tent, at least that would have been free.  1/2 pot of coffee at the lobby for breakfast, when my other stays kitchen has a coffee maker, with pots/utensils, available 24/7.

Not sure if the new place is an upgrade or not. Extended DOES SUCK, I was moved into a one bed room as well when I had reserved a bigger room with two beds. Rate dropped from 114 to 99 bucks, but this could have been a MAJOR ass pain, lucky my buddy canceled so I only needed one bed. I'm sure others got screwed over by this!! Push hard for a free night's stay, I got one even before I found out about the room downsize.
