TRS-80 Model III but we also got a Timex-Sinclair (mini thing), Color Computer II (when they were closed out), some Amstrad word processor (that I typed all my papers on till high school), then the 8088s came out.  Miss that TRS-80, mostly just nostalgia though.  Oh yeah, also had an Atari 800XL that I really liked.
King Pin ('73 GTB), Paragon, Tommy, Flash Gordon, Strato Flite (holding for buddy), Barracora

Mine was the Commodore PET.  Unfortunately, no color, but still a good system.  Looking at the wiki pictures, mine was the 4061 I believe.

The Atari 800 ruled the 80's. I thought my friends and I were the most techy people around, being able to call BBS's around the country and d/l almost anything at 300 baud.

Until my dad picked up the phone and started screaming that he needed to make a call.(and ruined my download)

Anyone remember trying to choose the best protocol, like Kermit??

TRS-80 with keys that would double-type everything.  Until you loaded a debounce program from the tape drive.  I learned to program BASIC, and also played some bad games-

I got my first computer in 1984 or 85, it was a Kaypro IV.  It came bundled with software like Wordstar, and others.  It ran on the CPM OS and had a modem.  It was all self contained with the keyboard in the lid.  Biggest draw back was no hard drive, just to 5.5" floppy drives.

Gee, most of you had fancy computers to start with, even color!  I just had paper tape and black print on white paper, there was no screen.

My FIRST computer was a Timex Sinclair, i bought it with my own money...
My SECOND computer was a Vic-20
My THIRD computer was TRS-80 Color Computer w/64K Ram Upgrade
Then i got a AT&T 603 ( XT ), Apple Lisa ( 3 of them to be exact ), and some other random stuff for free..
Then i got a C64 , This is when you could actually still BUY C64 software @ Toys'R Us..
Then i started working at a computer store.. My Parents got a Packard Bell for Christmas..
Shortly after I got a job at a computer store selling / building computers, so my first Home Built computer was a 386DX40, then a 486DX40, then a 486DX4-133, it got blurry after that. Now I am a Director of IT...

I fix things.. all the things.. but you have reach out first to see how my queue looks. ( all things arcade/pinball/computer ) ... do not do house calls, repairs are generally live streamed on twitch.

I too, had the privilege to own a Brand new Atari 800 with all accessories including Modem with a CompuServe account and two brand new in box  Stand up Asteroids and space invaders  Arcade machines .
Dad was a Gold Broker at COMEX and had a great year . He then smashed the modem by throwing out the second floor window to the pavement below when he received a Phone bill for around 600 dollars for one month due to when I was communicating ship to ship in an online space game (yes in early 80's) there was a long distance charge applied per text I suppose. Oh well the Online thing was fun for that short time but had every game on the market , be it floppy or Cart.  Them where the days

Also at My Uncle Johnny's he had a Defender arcade and Scorpion Pinball, he still has the defender but recently sold his Scorpion pinball for 1k in Staten island NY. It was a Pure HUO pin as is the Defender. wish I still had our original Asteroids and SI but since we Moved so many times since leaving Staten they didn't make but a few of them until pops sold em both as I was a teen with no care for them Vids at the time

I was always impressed with the colors on the Amstrad, very vibrant and seemed like it had a pretty good display count compared to other 8bits.

I've never actually seen one in person. Was this even released over here? Maybe in small quantities if it was ala the Speccy, etc.
