i'll be getting back my white 1996 Honda civic 2 door coupe. 5 speed, 1.6 vtec engine.

about 150K on it. no internal door panels. will be around $1150 - $1200.

figure they get 33ish mpg with a/c running (I've gotten 48 out of my crx  ):

eh, I'm a Honda guy, I have 2 white 2 door, 5 speed civic coupes coming to me very soon...one with 145K
and one with 168K.

will be building the stronger engine/car up one to be a nice looker, then i'll have a 2nd one,
with no door panels (unless I find them in the junkyard, but they've been hard to source), with
a/c and radio that will probably be sold for 600 to 700 bucks. civic shells alone usually get $750.00
down here. popular car that runs forever. one of the only brands I trust to buy untested, with no battery
or keys.

 

give me a broad range of what you want, and i'll keep my eyes/ears open.

I suck with manuals   

Everyone sucks with a manual until they practice for a couple weeks.  Once you get used to a manual you won't like driving other cars (IMO) as a manual makes driving much less mundane and in the event the car has any horsepower a manual makes it infinitely more enjoyable to drive.  Manuals seem to be losing their popularity though as when I bought my new truck a few years ago I had to search the entire southeast for a 4cyl manual Tacoma Access cab and only found seven in the entire southeast.

I prefer 5 speeds so much, I buy any Honda I see with a manual in it.

picked up a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 ST.

I bought it from original owner and he took good car of it.

has a 4.7 magnum v8 not much better on gas but my first truck so I'm happy.

change the oil in that truck every 3000 miles. make sure to run a 5 weight oil. the oil passages are very thin on that 03-04 engine.

I had 1. horrible on gas. good everywhere else.

edited: said 2 months, meant 3000 miles religiously.

was reading about that evidently its prone to sludge issues.

I plan on using 5w30 full synthetic

My brother-in-law has the same year and model truck.  Runs great but the dash is trashed which he says is common with that truck.
