0 weight wasn't thin enough for mine.
if it starts up quiet and the oil pressure gauge is steady, you're good to go. it's the only
shortfall of that 4.7 engine, but I've seen then do 250,000+.
mine was purchased from a shady azz mechanic. I got my revenge on him.
but once I figured out what he did, I carmaxed my azz out of the truck pretty quickly.
one last note. if the previous owner used dino oil, and you go synthetic, you may get minor
oil drips/leaks. if you can ask what he's used, I'd stick with that, just 5W/xx as you plan.
