Classic Car Insurance
« on: February 15, 2016, 11:19:44 PM »
Anyone have a great insurance company for their Classic Car? I have a 1969 Mustang that I want to get insured and it seems that all the internet sites for the major companies are way too high. Quotes of $600 year and up. If you have a company that has good coverage and is inexpensive let me know.
Thanks,
Rick

Dan,
I just checked Grundy Insurance for a quote and so far they are the highest. They came in at $787.00 per year. I will keep looking.
Thanks,
Rick

Hagerty is another one a friend uses. I think they are/were more though. ?? Mine with Grundy was $200/yr. for $12,000 coverage. Had to be garage kept with photos showing condition.

Try Safeco, Ive used them in the past for motorcycles and they were always the lowest. I know they do classic cars as well.
Go to safeco.com and put in your zip and they will refer you to a local agent.
Good Luck!

I was quoted $3200 a year basic/$1000 deductibel for a $500 book valued 1988 beater car. $600/yearly seems to be a bargain. :)

Looks like the winner is going to be Heacock Collector Car Insurance Company as they came in at $398 a year with no deductible. Safeco was second with just over $400 but had a $1000 deductible. Thanks for all the input and advise.
