Looking For Classic Car Advice
« on: February 21, 2016, 03:12:08 PM »
My son is turning 21 in April, and he's a major car nut. We want to buy him a classic muscle project car from the late '60's to early '70's era. I know nothing about cars other than to fill them up with gas, take them in for regular maintenance, and get rid of them when I see something I like better. Can anyone recommend a reputable person who deals in restoration projects? The budget needs to stay under $7,000, and can't be a ridiculous challenge to restore. My son is a quadriplegic, and his goal is to one day run a custom shop. He's currently in college working on a business degree, so he can one day open his shop. He's going to have to keep full records on all repairs, and keep a rein on the budget, as well as turn out a quality end product. Would preferably like to do a Mustang, but will consider other options. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Touch base with ToddK over in Orlando, he is a member of the Village.  He is the master of restoring cars and owns several BEAUTIFUL classics.

Yea Todd does have some nice stuff and may even know of a perfect car. In the price range you should be able to find a decent project. I know mustangs and have owned more than most. Finding a solid foundation is key.

I use Todd's  mechanic Tom for all our car repairs.  He does great work at a reasonable coast.  We can talk more Friday.

You are an awesome dad.
