Hey,

just looked at that first pic you posted of your MM.  Looks great except for that HUGE burn hole in the top center of the translite where all the light is showing through!  What a piece of junk.

I came home with my new MB and MM at about 2PM.  My wife lost her mind!  She seemed to think for some "f"ed up reason that 4 MMs was in some way unnessasary.  I should have known not to marry her.  I mean crap,  I only have 10 machines in the house right now and shes griping at me.  I told her I only paid $7k for both machines but it was like talking to a crazy person.

It looks like they will be heading back to Curly's in the AM.

Guys, you all are totally cool, and you know I love everybody...cep't operators.

But seriously, WTF is wrong with you? I can just see the next tournament lineup...

MB,MB,MB,MB,MB,MM,MM,MM,MM,MM,MM.CV,ToTan.

I know that there is a desire to have to coolest pins, and I totally understand.
But what is life without variety? With everyone going on the latest and
greatest Medieval or Monster Bash that they bought, if someone tells me that
they went and bought a Shaq Attack I'd be far more thrilled for them.

A question to ask yourselves...do I love this game first and foremost because it's
an awesome game that has great gameplay and gives me hours of enjoyment? Or
do I love this game first and foremost because Thomas/Murfee/KB/etc has one and
therefore I must possess it?

(And BTW, this is by no means a slam against anyone...I just think there comes a point, y'know?)

I also like the variety of "different" things, as you know.  I buy games for ME, don't worry about what anyone else thinks since...well, nobody else has ever been over except Dan... and I don't care what HE thinks either! :)  Although I must admit I do like to "possess" games that Thomas HAD!  Muhahahahahahahaha!  Only The Shadow knows!  I'll be Back!  Muahahahahahahahahaha.....


Oh...sorry, don't know what "possessed" me.  Anyway... I know Thomas/ Paul/ Murfe/KB of course also love the games they buy and I don't think are quite so worried about what anyone else cares either... I know from experience from hanging out at Thomas' house once I start playing a few of his fantastic pins, it gets your wheels turning..."wow, this is a great game....maybe someday I'll pick one up...".  I think it may be more of THAT effect from some of the guys playing each others' pins at the parties that got a bunch of people turned on to these games.  Which is a good thing, btw.  I would have never bought or even THOUGHT of buying The Shadow had Thomas not invited me over.  Note to self:  quit going to people's houses who have games.

Just to be clear. I do not have 2 of any 1 machine and neither does Paul for that matter.. (KB is the only one with that sickness). I have 8 pins and they are all different.

I am not on a quest for a second MM (that was a joke). I have 8 games. MM, MB, CV, TOTAN, TOM, CFTBL, LOTR, POTC.

My quest was to get the machines that I think are the best games that exist, irrespective of what YOU think.....

If I sound cranky, I am not... I just woke up. :)

I don't think it was aimed at anyone in particular or any offense intended.  Dan and I also mentioned this recently that it's funny how "Thomas/Murfee/KB" seem to "set the bar" so to speak, everyone wants the games that they/ you get.

How come everyone isn't rushing out and buying up all the Atari pins now that I have them? How come I'M not a "bar setter"?  Oh well, more for me...if I wasn't retired...
