So 1st major hiccup.. Looks like tile (vct) or something was laid down at some point. Carpet was over the floor at some time as well. After they ground a small 5' section they found shadow square stains. They guy hired to remove the glued wood is a Terrazo refinishing guy but not much of a restoration guy.. 

Light squares almost shadow looking in appearance..



So on to an actual restoration specialist.. He comes by on Monday and will give his expert opinion..

Maybe an acid stain job,  would fix any staining and imperfections.  Seen them done to a million concrete floor in all different colors.  I am sure someone knows how to update them.

Yeah going to be heavy grind job starting today and then laydown of peroxide with plastic on top for five days

Every once in a while, someone leaves a protein on our granite countertops and it leaves a stain. We found a trick with peroxide and baking soda and some saran wrap that works every time ... lifts the stain right out.

Sounds similar to what you might be doing there ...

That is a great idea..

Crazy thing is that when the stuff goes down its just a cream, nothing special. When it finds something in the cement/Terrazzo floor to catalyse with then it makes those huge white puffy cloud looking spots.

The guy said you pull some crazy stuff up during this process. He also said we always find out where the old lady/guy's bed was in cause it pulls the urine smell out of the cement, no matter how many decades its been in there. He also says people sometimes find all kinds of horrific stains under their floors when they pull them up (blood, chalk lines, etc)..

Thats messed up stuff ya all..

Day 3 down 4 more to go.
