Vectrex System & Games

Hey guys,
Just curious if anyone here might have an extra Vectrex system & some games for sale or trade?
I'm just checking to see if I can maybe get one locally rather then eBay to avoid shipping problems.
Let me know if you have one.
I have dozens of extra stuff to trade (console & arcade related)
And of course, cash works for me as well.

Those dudes are usually very much at 1:1 with ebay so don't expect it to be cheap there.

Hmm, well eBay-ish prices at local places don't scare me off too much, but in those cases, the devil is in the details. In other words, the instant gratification of getting it in person, as well as the benefit of the ability to inspect the item more thoroughly then pictures allow, can sometimes make it a good purchase. (shipping costs vs. sales tax being roughly on par as well).

I waould also put a vectrex in the "high risk" catagory for shipping. That store had a killer selection of games too when they opened like boxed Pole Position. I think they have a boxed Narzod still

I don't have a vectrex, but wouldn't mind adding one to the collection.  Good luck on your quest.

Vectrex is definitely a system everyone should have. It's unique, hard to replicate and its so self contained its like a party in a box.

I remember seeing one @ Gamers Attic in Lakeland Mall last time I was there not sure on the price.

I just got lucky and scored a nice Vectrex and 3 games (Scramble, Berzerk, and Clean Sweep) and box/ overlays off local Craigslist. This is an impressive system, especially for the era that it was made! I was never even aware of Vectrex until recently, I never heard of it as a kid ( I had the ColecoVision, another awesome system). Really impressed with this thing, got to order a multi cart for it now so I can check out all the other sweet vector games.

If you turn it on without a cartridge, it plays a great Asteroids Deluxe style game, Minestorm.


When you get to the higher levels, the asteroids will begin to remain single points of light.


And when you get super duper good, ALL of the asteroids are points of light that follow you around, shoot fireballs at you and other fun stuff... while still displaying as single bright dots of death! :-D
