hey, what are you doing in my house?
Hah - a fellow tech hoarder!! Poor wife.. ;)

Maverick that's a cool collection!

I'd love to see the Amiga 500 and the Kaypro there.  I remember playing a cp/m clone of pac man on that one.

Do you have any oddball consoles like the Aquarius, Channel F, Astrocade etc?
Crap. Forgot about those early one-offs ;) I have an Aquarius somewhere, but it's not complete. I've some Astrocade parts, but nothing fully working, and wasn't interested in the Channel F (or the Magnavox Odyssey 1/2). I guess I should amend my statement regarding consoles to having all of the major players outside of the Neo Geo AES/CD, ColecoVision/ADAM, and Sega Pico. And the Jaguar CD.

My Kaypro is an easy haul, and is in nearly mint shape. It's not CP/M, though I see now why you think so. I called it a Kaypro IV, a mistake I've been making since the day I got it. It's an 8088-based Kaypro 16 (sorry for the confusion). My Amiga 500 is a nice setup with an GVP A500+ hard drive, GVP 80286 bridgeboard (which I've never actually used), 8MB ram, and v1.3 rom (I never got around to installing the multiswitch and burning a 3.1 rom to go with). Like most Amiga 500/1200's, however, mine have yellowed a bit even being stored in enclosed boxes in climate controlled settings. I've never messed with RetroBrite, and likely won't.

Heck.. thinking... I could technically load my truck up with consoles/computers and do 9+ of those rather than bringing arcades, one of which I'm still working on restoring. Or 1 arcade w/ 6 or so consoles/computers. I wasn't really overly keen on hauling and storing a trailer on-site anyway (I'd be borrowing one of my dad's trailers from his welding shop, and he probably wouldn't overly like the idea of it sitting unprotected in a hotel parking lot all weekend)

Anyways... you guys let me know what you want to see. Computer-wise, if you're really looking for a museum-style display, I've manuals and software for pretty much every computer I have as well. Boxes for most of the 8-bit computers and many of my consoles too, though most aren't in A-1 shape. If you're just looking to have a usable setup like last year with the machines on display, then even easier.

AIO's are a particular love of mine. Much easier to pull one unit out to play with than multiple pieces! Commodore SX-64 is probably the best example I have of these, however I've a number of them, most being various x86 processors from 8086 on up to the Pentium era. There are alot of unique computers, insofar as their implementation, but not necessarily from their specs and capabilities. For instance, IBM PS/2 units are beautiful examples of engineering, however in looks - they're very similar to basically every PC out there, so the beauty is lost to most people.

All in all... probably best if you guys decide what you want to see with regard to what you're already planning to bring, then give me 4-6 weeks lead time so I can ensure that I have ready whatever you'd like to see.

Console-wise, I've still got my Virtual Boy, I've a Sega CD Model 1 (not exactly uncommon, though not many people seem to have these or have seen them in person), an Atari Jaguar w/ several games, and the extremely rare Sanyo NES TV. I think everything else I had was pretty well represented last year.

Computer-wise, if you guys have something that you're bringing but isn't "complete" as to the period that I can assist with, also let me know. I'm a stickler for keeping systems "complete" - for instance, my PC/XT/AT will never be connected without an IBM 13" monitor and a Model M on them, my Amigas will usually have a 1084 attached (though I've been known to use a flat screen VGA with one of my 2000's and my 3000)... The exception being my Apple IIgs and Tandy CoCo, as these were common to see at schools in my county with Magnavox RGB monitors, I cheat and use that. For older systems like the Atari 800 that was commonly used with a TV, I'll usually just use the Magnavox with them as well.

Oh, I should mention... for 8-bit Commodore, I have alot of expansions. Tape expansion, various 1541 models, 1541-II models, 1571, 1581, 1750 RAM expansion, text-to-speech adapter (that, I'll have to dig for).. If we're looking for a "dream" classic setup on these, I can assist. I haven't yet gotten around to getting the modern expansions, however.
