Ya thanks.. just talked to B.G. Grace construction - they are going to come out and patch the roof for now to keep any OTHER water out of the roof.. and hopefully get an eyeball into the situation to see what they would charge to do the rest of the work..   Right now I have an adjuster quote of about 6500$ total for fixing the roof, ceiling work and repaint.. but If thats what the insurance company is coming in at.. I am thinking maybe 2-3g for a private contractor maybe to do some work..

Im not replacing the roof if I dont have to.

We have had good luck with Wayne, Gonzalez. Replaced the shingles under our solar panels due to the panels being installed improperly causing leaks and has re-roofed both our rental houses (one right before the hurricane). He was recommended to us from another family member and we always got a couple of other quotes (he was always the cheapest). Good work and a reasonable price.

That completely sucks.

My last friend without power got restored on Friday.

I'm hearing bribes apparently work? lol

Got power back a couple hours ago.  Duke trucks are everywhere now.  I was surprised it took that long, but glad to have it again.

Depends on what area of Naples. Some places look untouched minus some tree branches and others had part of there tile roofs blown off in a community I was in today. East Collier and Lehigh are having mega power issues with the amount of poles down. Welcome to the FL Zoo for the next year.

That sucks!  I read some area was having delays because some jackass stole the downed copper lines.  Woe be to that asshole when they find him.

I'm just racing to get my tree debris on the road at this point.  Pickup starts Wednesday.  I'll probably be the first for that and wouldn't mind a few more days to work on it.

they found them.  :)

as far as roofs, we had to have ours replaced around 2008 due to city code (crybabys, we were missing about 8 shingles...if I were to go back, I'd patch and paint to match original roof). well, fast forward...the $13,000 replacement roof wasn't as good as what we had...lol. replacement leaked in the first 2 days. called them back, and they patched their poor vent install, which I went back and patched better after they left.

you can patch your own roof if you can get up in the attic and locate leaks. there are dozens of products out there for patching roofs. I had to patch that brand new roof, due to a poor ventilation hatch install. that was over 8 years ago, no leaks...I've also added a powered vent, no leaks, within the last 2 months, as well as installing a turbine which exhaust attic heat better than the passive garbage they use nowadays...

just use the right product and if you're not comfortable, find someone who is. "professionals" aren't always so professional.

good luck.

And here we go again.  Hopefully it goes a little further left.  They haven't even picked up my mountain of hurricane debris yet.
