FS Stargate Pinball $2100
« on: October 12, 2017, 08:58:27 AM »
Close to 100%, but needs some dialing in IMO to play perfect. First Gottlieb and about the only SG I've played. Playfield has full mylar, flippers are strong, glidercraft works excellent. Some flasher bulbs need replacement, occasionally VUK will kick more than once then once to get ball up onto wireform. Game seems to reset high scores for some reason when I shut the game off and on (grounding issue? apparently common on this style Gottleib). I think the left ramp has a broken weld too. There is a post that keeps it firm in place though. I am happy to take pictures of specific areas if requested. Only owned B/W and Stern, so this is pretty foreign to me. Partially shopped, but I never removed pyramid, ramps etc.
Not enough time currently and could use the space. $2100 which is alot less than I have into it, so my price is firm. I like this pin and think it offers a ton of cool features. Love the kicking stand up targets and the Anubis and Horus mechanisms.

Tons of pics and a crappy gameplay video that I shot by resting camera on a stool. Better then no video though.  ;)

! No longer available

Looking to sell to first to come with cash. Willing to hold for a short time if someone cant get here right away.

Thanks guys. This game is loaded for sure and it’s a pin that was based off a good movie. I always have to watch a movie, TV or whatever if it’s the basis for a pin I get. So pay a lot more and watch a crapper like Congo or pay substantially less and watch a classic  8)

Had a fair amount of interest with some still trying to raise funds, but SG is still available. I should be around today and most of the weekend.

Just as an update. The high scores get lost each time, but all other settings, credits, free play or whatever are there. Only high scores seem to reset whenever the game is shut down. Weird, I know. I have a feeling its a bad chip or something like that, but no reason to believe a damaged board.

I probably talk my games down more than I need to, this is a fine playing game that could be made even sweeter with some very minor tweaking IMO.

Off the market. Not that much interest, so I spent the last day tearing it down. Have it playing like it should now and will keep it for the time being. I had to remove the ramps and wireforms to reflow some solder. So it's now shopped and I even added LEDS to the inserts (normally I only do GI ) but it looks great with the inserts LED'd too. All flashers work like they should. Drop target assemblies removed and cleaned.

I have to say, I really like the modular approach on all the mechanisms Gottleib used on this game.  Everything is a plug and play. Easier to shop then I thought it was going to be, so that was a welcome surprise.

As for the scores dropping, they don't. All settings are correct and high scores are maintained. What does start at zero is the last game you played after shutting the game down. I assume this normal and it's Gottleib thing.? Can anyone confirm this on their Stargate. Thanks. FWIW, the boards are clean as a whistle too.

I imagine this will be up for sale or trade at sometime, but plan on opening the gameroom for the Halloween crowd and we could use one more in the lineup.

YES, I can confirm that is completely normal. Happens on my stargate and also happened on AO's Super Mario Bros pin we used to have on the floor.

Also, to those who've never played it, PLAY IT! It's awesome.

like eric/redfox said, this behavior also occurred on my shaq pinball as well, and that was 100%.  :)

I hope to own a toast machine one day. that way, I won't have to clean or fix a damm thing. ;D
